You must always wipe the edges of the window pane to get rid of the water marks and spots. When you are done with the squeegee, just wipe the window edge with a lint free cloth.
When cleaning the window sills, remember to rub the surface with a damp cloth which is sprayed with alcohol. This will render a lovely shine to your window and also remove the spots.
If you are cleaning Venetian and Aluminum mini window blinds and find them very dirty then you can always take them out from your window and wash them properly. For cleaning wooden blinds and pleated fabric window shades do not use water.
