When you purchase store bought chemicals for upholstery cleaning, follow the directions provided on them. There is a rule of thumb to consider. Remember that too much chemical cleaning and too much cleaning products can actually worsen the look of your upholstery. It can even make the stain impossible to clean up fully.
To get rid of coffee stains on your upholstery, try this before calling a professional upholstery company. Mix one teaspoon of a mild ph balanced cleaning product with one cup of warm water. Blot this on the stain and blot with a dry towel to remove the stain. Do this again with one third of a cup of white vinegar to two thirds water.
